Firstly, I want to say how moved and grateful I am for the support for Memory Lane, my first poetry chapbook! It has been beautiful to pack up orders going to past clients, friends across the country, and people whose names are new to me. Thank you to each and every one of you, genuinely. You can find it here.
I’ve added some new ceramic experiments to my webstore, and still have some tattoo appointments available for August (email to book).
Some bits and pieces:
💧 If you really want to cry: kd lang and Roy Orbison “Crying”
💧 If you want to exorcise rage to something that isn’t the news: Ludacris x Sum 41 nu-metal version of “Get Back” on SNL in 2004 (My friend Stephen said “it smacks, unfortunately”)
💧 If you want to be awed: Palestinian resistance fighters target “israeli” tank
💧 If you want a morale boost: “Hello my enemies” Ali Mortada falls in love
💧 If you want to support Gaza mutual aid: Venmo Rand
💧 If you want an incredible book on “Blackness, beauty, faith, and the force of law:” Spectral Evidence by Gregory Pardlo (halfway through my NYPL copy and will be adding one to my personal library)
💧 If you want to be soothed: Squirrel photographed stopping to smell a flower
Below: a playlist I made for the very end of Cancer season
Thank you, I love you all <3
